Abstract
Oxeladine Citrat (PAXELADINE, Beaufour IPSEN) is a new synthetic molecule with anticough effect more important than codeine on laboratory animals. Without any chemical resemblance with opium derivates or antihistamines, PAXELADINE doesn’t have any adverse effects on respiratory center, bowel movements and vigility. We used PAXELADINE on 20 children for 5 – 7 days with 5 days extention for preventing the rebounds. We had 14 excellent results, mentioning mostly the absence of any indesirable effects.
