Abstract
Nephrotic syndrome (NS) related to the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) has usually been associated with minimal-change glomerulopathy. However the facts proved that the NS due to membranous nephropathy (MN) should be recognized as an idiosyncratic drug reaction to many NSAIDs; because withdrawal of the drug may resulte in prompt and complete recovery of normal renal function, a history of NSAID intake should be sought in patients with MN. Frequency of history of NSAID use emphased the importance of this problem.
