Abstract
The use of anticholinergics in COPD therapy – a more and more frequent desease in our days – is sustained by the efficacity of its bronchodilatory effect, stable in time, the lack of important systemic side – effects and the improvement of life quality for these pacients. The development of new compounds, with increased specificity and longer duration of action, and also the better understanding of their mechanisms of action will ensure a substantial benefit for the patients.
