Abstract
We have studied ten pacients (7 male, 3 women) who suffered from cirrhosis porta-lsystemicencephalopathy (6 alcoholic and 4 postviral) who were range 64,4 ± 7,91 years of age. This study followed-up the values of ammoniemy and Reitan score on 3 and 7 days from the begining of therapy with Bacillus subtilis I.P. 5832 (Flonivin BS). Flonivin BS decrease ammoniemy at the pacients with cirrhosis and diminishes of the portal-systemic encephalopath. The mechanism of action on colonic flora can be both bacteriolytic and for inhibition of putrefaction flora.
