Abstract
During the latest years, one of the most important areas of utilization of erithropoetin is its preoperatory use in situations which need a rather important quantity of blood as a therapeutic alternative to the transfusion of alogen blood iso-group iso-Rh. So, in elective orthopedic surgery, the utilisation of erithropoetin (EPO) is very important, and starts beeing more and more used in the great orthopedic centers. Its utilisation reduces the risques and the big problems of the transfusion of allogen blood.
