Abstract
Post-traumatic stress disorder is a common reaction of normal individuals to an extreme trauma. Such as natural man-made disaster, combat, serious accident, witnessing the violent death of others, being a victim of torture, terrorism, rape or other crimes. The prevalence of PTSD is 7,8% – 9,2% of the general population . Treatment of PTSD is multimodal, with pharmaco therapy playing an important role (biological model).
