Abstract
Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is an emergent and the most severe nosocomial infection. Prevention measures are generally easy and very effective. The diagnosis (invasive management strategy impact) and the therapy remain a challenge. If VAP still exist, an agressive first line therapy is most sucessfull strategy to diminish mortality.
