Abstract

At this moment there are no treatment guidelines for cerebral palsy, and also no treatment for the brain lesion that leads to characteristic motor dysfunctions. Therefore the therapeutic intervention is only symptomatic, targeting the motor and associate disturbances equally (co morbidities). This paper reviews the existent therapeutic options, based on the literature data. Functional therapy, orthosis, injecting botulium toxin, occupational therapy, intrathecal Baclofen, surgical treatment, are available as options at the moment. Unfortunately, there are not enough studies to prove the superiority of a treatment over another.
