Abstract
Urinary incontinence, urinary retention and the combination of them may be part of the clinical appearance in any type of neurologic damage, regardless the central nervous system level in which it is localised. Voiding dysfunction can lead to complications, such as urinary infections, hydronephrosis, pressure sores and is extremely distressing for the patient. The therapy for the neurogenic bladder is comlex; the drugs are specifically designed for the treatment of detrusor dysfunction and the treatment of sphincter dysfunction.
