Trends and limits of anti-inflammatory treatment in the rheumatic foot of the old patients rehabillitation
We try to prove the real possibilities and limites of the anti-inflammatory treatment in the complex rehabilitation of the rheumatic foot in old patients. We studied 40 patients with complex rheumatic sufferings of foot, ambulatory treated in our clinic. We valuated the clinical parameters (pain – spontaneous, at charge, at motion -, swelling, limitation of motion, muscular hypotrophy, difficulties of statics and gait). We suggested a clinical general score of valuation and we applied a unitary medical anti inflammatory treatment, physically sustained, following the clinical evolution. The favourable evolution of all subjective and objective parameters expressed the improvement of the global functional parameters, distance and type of gait. The functional parameters were medium improved, because of the !imitated potential of functional rehabilitation at the old degenerative affected patient. We consider this associated anti-inflammatory and physical treatment, the only real functional treatment for the complex rheumatic foot at the old patients, improving the global function of the lower limb and maintaining the individual autonomy.
