Abstract
The paper review current data regarding pharmacoresistent depression, amphasizing the working pf a clinical approching of an algoritm. The following aspects are underlined the preliminary stages, the disgnosis check up, the removing of the organical hypothesis, the quantitative parametre check up (dosage, duration) and the therapeutical compliance check up (a frequent sourse of the distorsion of therapeutical effect interpretation). Five guidelines of approching the pharmacoresistant character of the pharmacoresistant character of the depression are analyzed: the maximization of the therapeutical parametres of the antidepressant, the replacement of the antidepressant, the use of the combination of antidepressive substances, “augmentation” strategies and the use of a nonpharmacological approach.
