Abstract
Dermatological care of dry skin intend to restore the damaged skin barrier functions. There are three main pathogenic factors contributing to cutaneous xerosis: (a) lack of moisturizing factors, (b) lack of horny layer lipids and (c) lack of sebum lipids. The skin care formulations includes in their composition active ingredients that substitute the deficient physiological components. Balneum intensiv is a new such topic formulation containing: (a) urea · hydrating agent, (b) ceramides – reduce the transepidermal water loss, (c) lipids – regenerate the hydrolipidic film.
