Abstract

The authors presents the efficiency of the long-term malaria chemoprophylaxis by the weekly administration of the mefloquine (250 mg/week) in an African country (ANGOLA), belonging to the third type resistance area. Already the study tries to evaluate the influence of the time factor (7 month) on this regimen efficiency to a human group comming from a free malaria area.
