Abstract
There were treated with tocolytic drugs as lzoxsuprine, Fenotero,l Salbutamo,l Terbutaline 650 patients of 46.200 pregnant women with obstetrical problems hospitalised in our clinic between January 1, 1993 and July 31, 1995. The treatment begin with intravenous infusion, to be followed by i.m. dose and after that by oral dose. The use of these drugs was demonstrated to exert a depressant effect on the myometrium of the pregnant uterus, arresting threatened abortion and preterm delivery and allowing to prolong the pregnancy to the term, without side effects for mother or infant.
