Abstract
In the flrst part are discussed some etiopathogenic aspects of gastric and duodenal ulcer, drawing special attention on the role of Helicobacter pylori infection. The second part is a review of the main groups of antiulcerous drugs, insisting on the antihistaminic H2, proton pump inhibitor and bismut salts. The last part prezents some therapeutic schemes for gastric and duodenal ulcer.
