Abstract
Diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori (HP) – related infection in children are still debated. A total of 116 children and teenagers with chronic gastritis underwent an endoscopic examination during 5 years at Spital Pediatrie Bra$OV. Gastric biopsies were studied for histology and search for HP (Giemsa staining, testing for urease). Serological tests (Elisa) were performed. Hp infection was present in 37 children (31,89%). H. pylori infection was treated by triple combination therapies for 2 weeks: Amoxicillin, Metronidazole, Furalizadon at 32,43% children, and 10,81% for 2 weeks Amoxicilin, Metronidazole, Denol.
