Abstract

The authors discuss the several vulnerability levels involved in the suicidal behaviour: primary level of vulnerability (genetic and biologic) and secondary level (psychologic, cognitive and social). There are many studies which found out corelations between neurotransmitter systems (serotonine, dopamine, norepinephrine) as well as secondary messengers (inozitolmonophosphatase) and cerebral structural impairments (CT, MRI, PET) in suicide. Thus, the authors intend to built a multifactorial model of the suicide with prophylactic implications.
