Abstract

We present the results after a 3-month period of pulse regimen with cyclophosphamide and metylprednisolone in 6 female patients presenting severe forms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erytematosus (SLE). The clinical and biological evolution was favourable. We followed the evolution of acute-phase reagents, which showed improvement. There were no significant adverse effects. Pulse regimen is an interesting alternative in severe forms of RA and SLE.
