Abstract
Intetrix is an intestinal antiseptic and it has as active priciples 3 methylates hidroxiquinoleines from the second generation (Tilichinol, Tilichinl-D-Dodecil sulphate, Tibrochinol). Intetrix has antibacterial, antifungal and amoebycides properties with a large spectrum of action:enteropathogen Gram- and Gram+ germs (including Vibrio cholerae and other microbes resisting to other antiseptics and antibiotics, like E. coli, Staphyloccocus etc.), Candida albicans, Entamoeba hystolitica, the vegetative form from the intestinal lumen. A second advantage of Intetrix consists in the lack of action on the physiologic saprophyte germs. Another advantage is the fact that Intetrix does not induce plasmidic resistance excluding the risk of the selection of resistent germs. The Intetrix tolerance is superior to other similary drugs because of the lack of halogens from its molecule and the lack of its intestinal resorbtion. The Intetrix main indications are: the treatment of acute diarrhoeas dues to Gram+ and Gram- germs, alimentary toxiinfections, postantibiotherpic diarrhoeas, candidozic diarrhoeas, chronic amoebiasis. This article proves that the 3 days treatment with Intetrix is sufficient for stopping diarhhoea the remission of clinical symptoms and bacteriological sterilisation. These results prooves that Intetrix is better than antibiotics in the treatment of the acute diarrhoeas.
