Abstract
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Klacid SR (Clarithromycin retard) in the treatment of acute respiratory tract infections in children. In the study were included a total of 20 children with acute respiratory tract infections who received Klacid by oral route (tablets = 500 mg) in a single administration. The clinical and bacteriological cure rate was 80%. The tolerability was very good being associated with minor side effects. The results of this study are a proof of high rate of efficacy of Klacid in the treatment of acute respiratory tract infection.
