Abstract

Atypical antipsychotics were borned on the one hand because of need of specialists to have efficacy antipsychotics in negative forms of schizophrenia, and on the other hand were necessary the agents with lower propensity to produce extrapyramidal side-effects than conventional neuroleptics (dopamine-blockers). There are presented atypical antipsychotics like Clozapine, Zotepine, Olanzapine, Risperidone, Ziprasidone, Quetiapine sau Sertindole. Their mechanism is the same generally: power blockade of 5-HT2 receptors and lower 02 affinity.
