Abstract
The pathology of the balance between blood coagulation and fibrinolysis during the neonatal period shows frequent hemorrhagic or thromboembolic disorders. In a newborn, the effect of the hemostatic of thrombolitic therapy are often unexpected because of the lack of solid physiological references. Our study shows some aspects of the fibrinolysis in different couples mother-newborn. The data we have got are similar to these reported in the recent studies, and are indicating considerable shortened ELT values in the newborn at term compared with the ELT of the mothers. In pre-term infants we have noticed an increased value of the ELT compared with the values in newborns at term.
