Abstract
In this study we investigated the influence of butandiol of the exploring capacity of the animals undergoing cerebral ischaemia, the positive effect of butandiol being due to the preferential use of ketonic bodies as a source of energy, which limits anaerobic glycolysis and thus diminishes lactate production. We notice a tendency to diminishing post-ischaemic hypermotility, also the efficiency of this product in the amelioration on the disturbances of the exploring capacity of the ischaemiated animals.
