Abstract
Remestyp (terlipressin), synthetic analogue of vasopressin with enhanced vasopressor effect, is indicated for its local or systemic action in gastrointestinal bleedings, gynaecological bleedings, ORL, surgical orthopedy, pneumology, shock. In cirrhotic patients with bleeding oesophageal varices decreases the intravariceal blood pressure with 28%, decreases the portal pressure with 16 – 35%, maintaning the liver suplying with oxygen and nutritive substances.
