Abstract
The main laxatives of current therapeutical use are passed in review. The risks presented by the preparations containing phenolphthalein and by liquid paraffin are underlined. The advantages of Macrogol 4000 (Forlax) represented by its high efficacy and by the absence of theraputic risks are exposed.
