Abstract
Clinical investigation in 24 asthmatic children between 5 and 16 years old. Among these, 12 had a moderate asthma and 12 were severe forms treated before with corticoids orally. In all cases, explorations of the pulmonary function have been made (VGT. Raw. VEMS. PEF. MEF50) rendering evident a moderate or a severe obstructive syndrome. The inflammatory component of the process has been demonstrated by the reduced reversibility at bronchodilatators. The patients have been treated with BECOTIDE (Glaxo) by inhalatory way obtaining the disappearance of the clinical manifestation, the remarkable improving of the paraclinical data, the renunciation of the systemic corticotherapy (except only one case) a severe from, who had relapses during respiratory virosis). Side effect specific to the systemical corticotherapy have not been noted. Variants of the therapeutic schemmics of the posology and the duration of treatment are discussed.
