Abstract

Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SAARS) is an emerging infectious disease associated with a novel coronavirus causing atypical pneumonia. Spred from Guangdong Province in China, SAARS have tended to primarly involve healthy adults aged 25-70 years. Early diagnosis and prompt supportive care improve clinical prognosis.
