Abstract
OHSS is the most severe complication associated with ulation induction, very rear in 0,5% patients.This sindrom is characterized by cystic enlargement of the ovaries after stimulation. The sindrom can be mild, moderate and severe. In the severe form of OHSS masive cystic enlargement of the ovaries occurs ac companied by hemoconcentration, ascites, pleural and pericardia! effusions, then renal failure, hypovolemic shock, thrombembolic phenomena, respiratory distress syndrome and even death. Prevention is the most important because there is no definitive treatment, apart from supportive therapy for vital functions.In this paper we studied patients with OHSS over a period of 8 years, patients who were treated in Medsana and University Hospital Bucharest.
