Abstract
The intraamniotic and postpartum infections represent anouder important cause of morbidity and mortality maternal and neonatal. In the last centuries important changes have taken place in etiology and epidemiology of this infections. There are presented the new discoveries in diagnostical field, treatment and profilaxy intraamniotic infections (chorioamniotitis) and post partum infections. Among the postpartum infectionsare taken in to discution the postpartum endometritis, pelvin septical tromboflebitis, puerperal infections, with group B streptococcal and mastitis. A better understanding of the whole problem concerning the intraamniotic and postpartum infections could lead in the future to the decrease of their impact and the significant diminishing of the maternal and fetal perinatal mortality.
