Abstract

Candida albicans (C. albicans) is a major etiological ent in installation of vulvovaginitis, beeing a lot of factors favoring this infection. Premise and objectives. Fungus can be responsible of the acute formes, subacute and chronic of vaginitis with the upward genital propagation mentioning even the posibility of systemic infection which could apear at the fetus. We propose ourself the study of the incidence of the species C. albicans in the vaginal secretion, and the study of the sesnsibility of this to actual antifungus. Material and method. There were for study 581 vaginal secretions. The microscopic evaluation was done on the clear and colored eradicators. The mycologic diagnosis has been continued at a number of 52 tests with isolation and identification of the fungus based on several characters, alongside the effectuation of the fungus culture. Results. In 275 secretions it was identified the C. albicans species, the C. albicans strains were sensitive to Clotrimazol and Ketoconazol, 5-Fluorocytosina wasn’t efficient to C. albi cans. Nistatin could be efficent or could not be efficient to C. albicans beeing necessary to make a fungus culture when it was identified as an etiological agent. Conclu sions. In vulvovaginitis the candidiasis etiology is in first place. The precociuos and correct treatment of the genital localisations constitues the prophylaxis of sterner mycotic infections form, stopping the posibility of transmition of Candida in sexual or mother-fetus relatios.
