Abstract
The treatment response and the prognosis for the virus hepatitis C infection are presented, besides other factors, also by the genotype and the serotype. The treatmen possibilities and the factors which influence them are presented. Genotyping and serotyping have implications in the treatment and in the prognosis of hepatitis C virus infection.
