The resistance tor 1750 strains of haemophili isolated in 1981 – 1996 from the patients aged one month – 93 years had the following means values on 16 years and in 1996 to 9 election antibiotics for: — H. influenzae to: Ofloxacine (Ofx) – 2,3 (0 in 1996)%, Doxyciclyne (Do) – 11,2 (6,6)% Chlorocide (C) – 16 (20)%, Rifadine (Rd) – 26,4 (28,5)%, Amoxicillin (Ami)- 33 ,1 (46,6)%, Tetracycline (Te) – 35,5 (26,6)%, Ceftriaxone (Cro) – 37,2 (26,6)% Ceftazidime (Caz) – 49,3 (14,2)% and Ampicillin (Amp) – 52 (46,6)%; — H. parainfluenzae to: Ofx – 3 (2,6)%, Do – 21.8 (28,2)%, Cro – 24,8 (8,9)%, C – 27,4 (19,9)%, Ami 38 (29,4)%, Rd – 43,4 (40,5)%, Caz – 43,8 (25)%, Amp – 50,4 (57,6)% and Te – 54,3 (68,1)%; — H. parahaemolyticus to: Ofx – 3,3 (0)%, Cro – 21,5 (11,1)%, Ami 22,5 (28,7)%, C – 27,8 (17,6)%, Do – 29,2 (11,1)%, Caz – 29,8 (18,1)%, Amp – 47,4 (31,2)%, Rd – 49,1 (41,1)% and Te – 56,6 (68,7)%; – H. haemolyticus to: Amp – 25% and Rd – 50%, being susceptible to the remaining antibiotics; — H. paraphrophilus to: Cro – 8,3 (0)%, Caz – 25 (25)%, Te – 25 (50)%, Ami – 33,3 (12,5)%, Rd – 41,6 (37,5)%, Amp – 58,5 (50)%, Ofx, Do and C – 0%; — H. paraphrohaemolyticus to: Ofx and Do – 0%, Ami and Cro 25 (33,3)%, Amp and Caz – 50 (33,3)% and Te – 50 (50)5. The resistance of the H. influenzae and H. parainfluenzae to C, Cro, Caz, Amp and Te determined with Oxoid discs in 1991 and 1992 was 45 – 92%, probabily owing to the antibiotics concentrations from the discs. The resistance depending upon the year, Haemophilus species, biological product and the antibiotic, the best being ofloxacine. The evolution of the resistance was in zig-zag progressive at many antibiotics, but and stationary or regressive to others. The betalactamases produced by haemopili were evi denced by the methods: iodometric in 32.3%, nitrocephine sticks – 31,1%, nitrocephine solution – 29,9%, acidometric 27,5% and to all to 35,5% from 167 strains, but the ampicillin resistant strains were positive betalactamase in 63,4% (HI – 60%, HPI – 65,5%, HPH – 42,8% and H. paraphrohaemolyticus 100%).
