Abstract
Cell death through apoptosis in further examined as a pathology-generating mechanism. Various types of alterations in morphogenetic programs, (followed by malformations,) as well as abnormal triggering of natural self-destruction programs in lifetime, are examined in nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas. As previously, these data are examined from the perspective of developing new drug candidates.
