Abstract
The paper is aimed at identifying from rat urine certain use substances their metabolits by GC-MS. White Wistar rats were treated with codeine, glutheti mide, alprazolam, methadone and combinations of two: co deine and gluthetimide and methadone and alprazolam. The following compounds were identified in the urine collected at 3 and 9 hours following administration: codeine, gluthetimide, methadone, alprazolam and their metabolites morphine, 4-hydroxigluthetimide, 2-phenylglutarimide, alpha-methadol, normethadol, 2-ethyl-5-methyl-3,3-diphe nyl-1-piroline (EMDP).
