Abstract
Calcium channel antagonists are widely used in clinical practice nowadays. ln this paper, we studied the effect of acute administration of nimodipine, calcium channel blocker from dihydropyridine family, in analgesic tests in rats. The material was represented by 4 groups of rats, which were injected with different doses of nimodipine. The analgesic response was measured using a digital analgesymeter in 4 moments: initially, after 1 hour, 2 hours and 24 hours after injection. The results obtained show a moderate analgesic effect of nimodipine, dose-dependent.
