Abstract
The coordination of digestive motility is made at the mienteric plexus level by the enkefalinergic system, from oesofagus to anus.s Jouveinal Laboratories, section of Parke-Davis Company have discovered trimebutine, the first substance with enkephalinergic agonist function, which is the active principle of Debridat. Recommended by the Romanian Society of Gastroenterology as the first choice drug in digestive functional troubles, Debridat was also used in the Infectious Diseases Clinic II of Colentina Hospital where the results of the treatment where appreciated on a 2/14 patient lot of study. As a conclusion, the therapeutic success was registered (cure and improvement) in 94,95% of the cases for the abdominal pain, 92,9% of the cases for the digestive transit troubles and 82,8% of cases for flatulence. Thus it may be stated that it treating the motility troubles indicated by abdominal pain, digestive transit troubles (diarrhea, constipation, alternating diarrhea – constipation) and flatulence, Debridat represents an actually verified choice to be considered for these patients.
