Abstract
Apart of common dermatoses in pregnant woman or breast feeding woman several particular skin conditions can occur. Supplementary attention must be paid to these disorders, drug administration being necessary only when the clinical benefit is clearly overpassed the adverse event risk. lt is also important to take account of the „natural” incidence of congenital malformations in general population before evaluate the teratogenicity of a certain drug. Even it is hard to demonstrate the adverse effect of a medication to mother or to the child, it is no doubt that retinoids and methotrexate are some of the important teratogens. Similar precautions should be taken with the drugs for topical use forms.
