Abstract
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAT) and depressive disorder share somewhat identical ethiopathogenic mechanisms.This fact justifies the use of some efficient antidepressants in the treatment of GAT. Only paroxetine and venlafaxine were approved by the FDA for the treatment of GAT.
