Abstract
There is a continuous increasing incidence of acute poisoning with tricyclic antidepressants, especially on female. The mortality is high because of cardiovascular toxicity. The treatment is complex, it does not exist an antidote. There is a particular view of the treatment regarding the use of plasmapheresis in the Clinical Toxicology Department of Emergency Hospital Bucharest.
