Abstract
In this article we present the factors which interfere with HIV transmission and the different ways to interventions for prevention HIV infection. The authors present the interaction between HIV and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), the links between STDs and HIV transmission (raising of susceptibility and infectiousness). Also we have the possibility to prevent the spread of HIV by testing and treatment for STDs. Consequently, HIV programes and STD testing and treatment program should develor strong linkages.
