Abstract
Mortality from cardiovascular disease ranks first in Europe, exceeding the number of deaths from cancer and lung disease. The increased mortality is due to ischemic heart disease, stroke, or other cardiovascular diseases. Mortality from ischemic heart disease is extremely high: 14% for women and 13% for men. In this context, it is very important to take the correct therapeutic approach to coronary syndromes, both through lifestyle changes and through drug therapy or interventional treatment. While interventional treatment plays a key role in acute coronary syndromes, maximum drug therapy is essential in chronic coronary syndromes.
