Abstract
Last decade brought the significant modifications in statistic of nosocomial infections to the critical nonthe neutropenic patients. The appearance on the 4-th place in the United States of the nosocomial fungal infections was e very serious warning signal for the medical com munity to elucidate the mechanisms of production, the clinical and laboratory diagnosis, but also the installation possibility of the antifungal resistance. The recorded pro gresses allowed elaborating the therapeutic guidelines of fungal infections to critical nonneutropenic patients, guides which will be followed review. On the another part, the Romanian intensive care specialists can speak in this moment of their experience in the epidemiological area, diagnoses and therapies of fungal infections to the critical patients, through the study started in 2005 by the Romanian Society of Intensive Therapy which results will be presented in the may 2006. In this article will be presented the partial results recorded by the ICU Clinic of the Bucharest University Hospital and a brief illustration with some relevant clinical cases.
