Abstract
Enoxaparin is a fractionated Heparin obtained by beta-elimination depolimerization. This method provides 73% of fragments with weights <5400 D and a 100% preservation of AT III linking sites. This product ensures an ideal antiXa/antilla rate for an antithrombotic action with minimal hemorrhage risk. Enoxaparin has a proven efficiency in preveniton and treatment of venous thrombosis, pulmonary thrombembolism, arterial thrombosis (coronary: unstable angina, non-Q acute MI; preventing stent rethrombosis; preventing coagulation in haemodyalisis). Ongoing studies are assessing the efficacy of Enoxaparin in the treatment of all acute coronary diseases.
