Abstract
Present data on the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) are synthesised : general measures, antiviral therapy, hepatic transplantation. The attitude concerning antiviral therapy of CHC is now oriented from the traditional α-interferon (α-lFN) monotherapy which obtains only 22% stabile remissions, in genotype I, to an association, from the beginning of therapy, of two antiviral drugs (α-lFN + ribavirin).
